If you look at any successful business, practice, enterprise or family, you’ll see that it isn’t just one person who makes the difference, it’s a collective team effort.
Here at the Cambridge Street Dental Practice, it’s our family of staff who collectively, have made a tremendous difference to the lives and wellbeing of our many clients and patients.
Each staff member has a uniquely special role and what you’ll soon notice is that each member really, truly and genuinely loves working at Cambridge Street Dental Practice! That fact is, we couldn’t get rid of any of them, even if we wanted to – they’re just so dedicated and loyal to the Practice and we value each and every one of them.
Below you’ll find a little information about each member of staff. Nothing complex, boring or long winded. Just enough to make you want to come to the Practice and meet them yourself!

I was looking to work in a dental Practice in a nice friendly area. And I found it! I’ve been working here at Cambridge Street Dental Practice for 5 years and I can 100% say that I really like the people, both staff and patients. And quite honestly, that makes my day go all the better because traveling to and from London to St Neots everyday to the Practice – there’s got to be some kind of reward in it for me :). I have seen thousands of patients, all with their unique and wonderful personalities, and with varying kinds of dental work needed. I remember when a young girl (13) broke her front tooth on a Friday at 5pm and I stayed late to sort it out even though she was registered at another dentist. It’s those kinds of things that make me really love my work. Now, if you’re looking for a handy DIY expert, please don’t call me - whilst turning my hand to DIY I pierced an aerosol can with a screwdriver, remains of such actions can still be seen today. Guided tours available on request! I’d much rather tuck into a good book, like Agatha Christie’s - Murder on the Orient Express.

When I visited the practice for the first time, wondering whether I should work here, I immediately thought this just a great environment to work in. It seemed like there would never be a dull moment. And it’s true! I’m really glad I decided to work here because just meeting so many people and helping them go from nervous to happy, is worth it, just going that extra mile for them. And when I’m not going that extra mile, when I’m at home, relaxing, you’ll find me in front of the TV, watching FRIENDS... all evening long. I don’t know when I’ll fulfill one of my long term goals - carry out voluntary dentistry in 3rd world countries – but I do know that I’m passionate about my work at the Practice and if we do happen to meet soon, remind me not to call you by some strange nickname, like I did to one of my university friends’ dad!

For me, the perfect place to work is where it’s close to home, where you work with great staff that you can get on well with and have a laugh. And of course – job satisfaction. That’s exactly why I love working at the Practice. Now I’ve see so many patients at the Practice who are extremely nervous and its always great when they come in the following time, relaxed, with a completely different attitude, more comfortable and at ease – and far less nervous as their first visit. That’s really rewarding. Should I tell you a secret? I have an obsessive compulsive disorder – I like everything to be perfectly organised, with nothing left out or out of place! I suppose that’s quite beneficial - working in a Dental Practice! Now here’s something I’m not organised about – laughter. I love comedians and I love watching FRIENDS - so much that at times, I can’t breathe because of how much I’m laughing. In fact, I can spend a whole day in a complete fit of laugher, over nothing, laughing so much that no one can talk to me or understand me. If you catch me on one of those days here at the Practice – please help me!

I’ve been here at the Practice now for nearly close to 7 years. Yes, it’s been a long while – and that’s because I like the atmosphere and surroundings and have no reason to work anywhere else. The place is like family for me and I get treated like family. Who on earth would want to walk away from that! If you’re ever visiting the Practice, I’d love to see you. But do look out – you may find that I occasionally come to the Practice with odd shoes on! It’s true that people call me as mad as a bucket of frogs because I’m in a continual jolly mood and I just love making people laugh. Now, if you’d like to know how to become my best friend ever, find a way to ban all bad calories, especially those related to fat! And then, sit me down in front of the TV, put in a Forrest Gump DVD, because for me...“life really is, like a box of chocolates”.

I’ve been at the Practice for under a year now and am so thankful for a number of things that helped me make my decision to work here. Firstly, it’s so close to home that I love it. No boring long commute. I was also drawn to the Practice for the cosmetic side of things – there are lots of good cosmetic practices, procedures and technology advances here. I’ve also got to say that speaking with family and friends and hearing lots of good reports about staff and atmosphere, it really turned my opinion to work here. Now, I won’t go anywhere else! Many people tell me I have a genuine caring nature and in fact, I sincerely love making patients feel at ease - especially very nervous patients. I find that personally rewarding to me. Now if there was one other job I’d take on if it wasn’t (JOB ROLE HERE) here at the Practice, I’d probably choose being the Prime Minister. Though, I’d probably be fired on the spot because I’d be in a room somewhere watching Only Fools & Horses, laughing like a nutty fruitcake. |
